New State Zoning Legislation - City Council Workshop - 24 October

The Castle Hill Neighborhood Association reached out to ensure that our association is aware of the new zoning legislation that will go into effect 1/1/2024 in RI. The state legislature passed a new bill that will grant substandard lots proportional relief from the dimensional requirements of the local zoning ordinance, including setbacks and lot coverage. This could lead to more density/overdevelopment in our historic city.

For those who wish to learn more and share their position, the City Council has set up a workshop to discuss the state zoning laws on Tuesday October 24 at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
