Brad and Cara Read "The Quest for Warmth" launches 2025 Challenger Lecture Series
Sail Newport’s Challenger Lecture Series 2025 kicks off with guest speakers Brad and Cara Read on Thursday, January 23 at 6 p.m.,presenting their six-month, 5.000+ nm sailing adventure to the Caribbean and back last winter. After leaving Newport on their well-prepared 46’ Bruckmann cutter “Althea,” the first stop was Bermuda. For the next six months their adventure took them through the Caribbean and back up the East Coast in time for the sailing season (and work!) in May. What gave him the idea? How did he get six months off of work? Would they do it again? Only in-person available, this will not be Zoomed.
