Hello neighbors! A few of us are forming a group to go hear the Larry Brown Swinglane Orchestra this coming Tuesday at Parlor. They are well-loved and respected big band/swing orchestra with a solid Newport following. They will will be giving their big horn, big band jazz and swing stylings a holiday twist this Tuesday, December 17, from 8-10pm at Parlor Bar and Kitchen (200 Broadway at the intersection with Cranston Avenue; across from the Broadway Post Office).
UPDATE, DETAILS FOR TONIGHT: 2:15pm, Dec 17: The performance tonight is scheduled to begin at 8pm, so plan on being seated around 7:45pm if you can (or we will save a seat for you if we know you might be later - you know who you are). I have expanded our reservation - we are up to about a dozen people at this time.
If you decide to join last minute (as in, haven't already communicated with me here before this post at 2:15pm on Tuesday 12.17, or directly), please call Parlor directly at 401.848.9081 and add to be asked to my "Top of the Hill" reservation in my name, as I will not have availability or time to make any further additions today - thanks for your team-spirit in this regard!
